Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Brookport Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Call officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Dorothy was a member of Brookport First Christian Church and employed with Brookport School System before retirement.
She was referred to as the “popcorn lady” by the children in Brookport, because of her popcorn balls she passed out on Halloween.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Land and husband Dick of Brookport; one son, Edward Ray Pearcy Jr. and wife Glenda of Mazon; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Eula Harton Gilbert; her husband, Bobbie Reineking; one daughter, Rosalee Pearcy; an infant son; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
