MCHS golf teams off to good start

The 2013 version of Massac County High School golf hit the ground running last weekend.

The Patriots opened at Anna in the Anna-Jonesboro McDonald’s Invitational and the result was impressive.

The boys carded a 10 stroke victory over their nearest competitor Harrisburg with a 310 to Harrisburg’s 320. Hamilton County was third with a team score of 322 and Nashville took fourth with a score of 323.

The tournament included 17 teams.

For the Patriots, Zach Burnham took overall medalist honors with an even par score of 71.
