Mrs. McIntosh graduated from the University of Kentucky with a computer science degree and as a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
She was a vice president at Distributors Warehouse in Paducah and was the first baptized member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Metropolis, where she retained her membership.
Sarah was a loving mother and wife. She lived a life of gratification with utmost love and devotion to her family. She knew her interpretation for the meaning of life and wanted nothing for herself.
Instead, she wanted the love amongst family and friends and to love more the things that are spiritual and eternal, rather than material and temporal.
Sarah applied with all her heart the wisdom taught by Jesus Christ.
Sarah is survived by her husband Philip McIntosh of Metropolis; one son, Nathan McIntosh and wife Smith; one daughter, Lauren Niemeyer and husband Preston; one grandson, Greer McIntosh; her parents, Walter and Wanda Korte and Jackie and Max Korte; one brother, Steve Korte and wife Caroline; four sisters, Lisa Pullen and husband Mike, Jenny Devers and husband Dempsey, Lori Durr and husband Ryan and Grace White and husband Ryan; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Lutheran Church of the Cross with Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
