Patriot head coach John Warren was brief and matter-of-fact in his assessment of Friday night’s whipping at Murphysboro.

“We have some cleaning up to do,” was how he put it.

“The thing that troubles me most is how we handle adversity,” he continued. “It seems like when we make a mistake or get a bad break, we compound it by getting mad, getting down, trying to retaliate or just quitting.”

Despite being down only 24-14 at halftime, the Pats turned in a decidedly lackluster second half giving up 27 unanswered points to lose 52-14.
