Darrell Bond, 57, of Karnak, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at his home.

Born Nov. 9, 1955, in Anna, Mr. Bond retired as a chemical operator for Honeywell in Metropolis in 2011.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Karnak and a member of the Masonic Lodge Post 91 in Metropolis.

Survivors include one son, Darren Bond and wife Marlena of Grand Chain; one daughter, Brandie Bond of Ullin; two sisters, Judy Neill and husband Rex of Karnak and Lora Colboth and husband Michael of Sumter, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Vanesa Sickling and husband Richie of Perks; one granddaughter, Paisley Sommer of Ullin; two grandsons, Noah James and Blaze Lynn Bond of Grand Chain; and two stepgranddaughters, Makayla and Lauren Sickling of Perks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Norma Slankerd Bond.

Funeral service was held Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Jerry Parr officiating.

Burial followed at the Masonic Cemetery in Belknap.
