Pearline Kickasola, 89, of Brookport, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Mrs. Kickasola was a member of Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Brookport for 68 years and was a teacher in southern Pope County and Brookport schools for over 39 years.

Survivors include her husband, L.T. Kickasola; two daughters, Sharon Pegram and husband Lee of Brookport and Karen Reichert and husband Skip of Grand Chain; five grandchildren, Shane Pegram and wife Heather, Sean Pegram and wife Jennifer, Ginger Taylor, Penny Bellamey and husband Tim and Jasson Reichert and wife Leah; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Thomas; one sister, Shirley McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Claudia Stapleton Thomas; one brother, Ronnie Thomas; one sister, Violet Keef; and one infant child.

Funeral service was held Saturday at Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Brookport with Bro. David LeNeave and Bro. Doug Hughes officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Sean Pegram, Jasson Reichert, Tim Bellamey, Alex Bellamey, Jacob Pegram and Lane Pegram.
