Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Pastor Mike Hardison officiating. Burial will follow at Golconda IOOF Cemetery.
Born in Golconda, Ms. Stoker graduated from Lakeview High School in Akron, Ohio at 16 before moving to Metropolis. She was employed by Hudson car dealership and later the Studebaker dealership in Metropolis before going to work for Union Carbide in Paducah.
Married for more than 25 years to Charles Stoker, she lived in Marion and worked for Curtis & Ross accounting firm in Carbondale. In 1976, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as an executive secretary for Horwath & Horwath (Touche Ross) Accounting until her retirement in 1993, when she returned to southern Illinois.
She was a member of Community Christian Church in Metropolis.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Charles Scott and Valerie Scott of Larkspur, Colo.; along with beloved niece, Kelley Brewster; and grandniece, Ella Brewster of Escondido, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, N.R. and Mamie Scott.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
