Lucinda Tate Ragland, 63, of Paducah, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at 10:11 pm at Baptist Health Paducah after a lengthy battle with ALS.

Born Nov. 8, 1950 in Paducah, Mrs. Ragland was a 1968 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a 1971 graduate of Murray State University. She was also a teacher and a homemaker.

Mrs. Ragland was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bill Ragland Jr.; one daughter, Elizabeth Ragland Neelley and husband Jason of Metropolis; her mother, Bettie Bass Tate, of Paducah; two sisters, Lorna Tate Hite and husband Greg of Florence, Ky. and Mona Tate Bolin and husband Joe of Murray, Ky.; one brother-in-law, Mark Ragland and wife Betsy of Nashville, Ten; two nieces and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Dean Tate.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Paducah with Rev. Charles Moore and Rev, Jamie Broome officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
