Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Louis W. Brinker officiating.
Mrs. Houseright was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Trisha Painter of Ypsilanti and Janet Reynolds and husband Kevin of Cobden; one son, Lonnie Houseright and wife Sheila of Eldorado; seven grandchildren, Carrie Richardson and husband David and Melanie Yost, all of Ypsilanti, Kevin Reynolds II and wife Whitney of Cobden, Leah Reynolds of Carbondale, Heather Houseright and Jason Houseright, both of Evansville, Ind. and Nick Houseright of Eldorado; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Tanner of Metropolis; one sister, Betty Moss of Los Alamitos, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Herman Tanner and Gladys Jackson Heil; her stepfather, Art Heil; and her husband of 42 years, Matthew Edward Houseright;
There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services.
Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
