Brian James Dooley, 34, of Paducah, formerly of Metropolis, passed away at 12:34 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Although he was born in Mountain View, Calif., Brian grew up in the Brookport/Metropolis area. He graduated from Massac County High School in 1998 with excellent academics. Brian lived and worked in Paducah as an IT specialist at Petter Supply Co. and was an avid gamer.

Survivors include his fiancée, Jeanetta Robles of Paducah; his mother, Carol Dunne, and stepfather, Richard of Madisonville, Tenn.; his father, Patrick Dooley of Westland, Mich.; his two grandmothers, Gloria Klawon and husband Bill of Fredricksburg, Texas and Lorene Kelley of Madisonville; his grandfather, Denis Mitchell and wife Roberta of Mountain View; two cousins, GarLynn Diedrich of Fort Irwin, Calif. and Kristie Field of Waterford, Mich.; three uncles, Matthew Kelley of Brookport, Robert Mitchell and wife Dixie of Matoon and Stanley Mitchell and wife Darah of Madisonville; one aunt, Karen Fields; and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas James Dooley Jr.; and his stepgrandfather, Lowell Kelley.

Funeral service was held Saturday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial followed at Chapman Cemetery in Tunnel Hill.
