This one had it all!

In one of the best games of the year and in the best, by far, atmosphere of the season, Massac County’s Patriots prevailed 63-55 over the West Frankfort Redbirds Friday night.

Massac honored eight players on Senior Night prior to the game. Recognized were Davontay Blye, Austin Kendall, Jacob Myers, Dalton Mitchell, Kyle Reinwald, Eli Rose, Andy Walquist and Kevin Welch, along with manager Dereck Randolph and scorebook keeper Keith Jaco.

West Frankfort brought a couple of pep buses to cheer on their team and in front of a packed house, the student section of MCHS lit the fuse with a rousing version of the national anthem.

From there, it was game on!
