Born Jan. 22, 1938 in Metropolis, Ms. Hoy had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1969. She was the first female to graduate from the Lamar, Texas Police Academy and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Beaumont.
Survivors include two daughters, Jianna Evans of Lumberton, Texas and Tammy Hoy of League City, Texas; three sons, Jimmy Hoy and wife Paula of Kountze, Texas, Tom Hoy of Bridge City, Texas and Jeff Hoy and wife Angie of New Ulm, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie Ann Frink Fogle and Charles Roy Fogle; one son, Joseph Allen Hoy; one grandson, Clint Evans; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Burnside; her grandparents, Anna and Thomas Frink, Martha and Rufus Fogle and Vangie and Roy Crawford; and her aunts and uncles, Jerry and Jack Fogle and Mary Rose and Tom Frink.
Graveside service was held Saturday at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountz.
Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont was in charge of arrangements.
