William E. Troutt, 84, of Marion, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Born Dec. 27, 1929 in Reevesville, Mr. Troutt was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was employed as a truck driver for many years by Edwards-Etherton Oil Co. in Marion

Survivors include his children, Curtis Troutt of Marion, Carolyn Satterfield and husband Grandal of Piper City and Anita Galeaz and husband Tony of Campus; eight grandchildren, David Satterfield, Stacey Dohman, Jason Satterfield, Matthew Galeaz, Brandy Robison, Mario Galeaz, Nicholas Galeaz and Toni Ann Galeaz; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Troutt of Wausau, Wis.; and one sister, Peggy Bacon of Metropolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis “Jack” Troutt and Maude Renfro Troutt Richey; his wife of 55 years, Martha Simmons Troutt; and eight brothers and sisters, Don Troutt, June Parsons, Paul Troutt, Patty Ann Troutt, Norma Jean Troutt, Hershal Troutt, Jackie Troutt and Clara Norris.

Graveside service was held Saturday at Reevesville Cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to the Helia Healthcare of Carbondale, 500 S. Lewis Lane, Carbondale, IL 62901.

Bailey Funeral Home of Vienna was in charge of arrangements.
