Mr. Holley retired from the City of Metropolis with over 25 years of service.
He was a member of Park Street Church of Christ in Metropolis.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Anna Sweitzer Holley of Metropolis; two daughters, Lisa Werner and husband Kevin of Brookport and Karen Jones and husband Chris of Grantsburg; two sons, James Holley and wife Lisa of Lawrenceburg, Ind. and William “Billy” Holley and wife Julie of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle Holley, Jared Medley and fiancée Madelynne Patton, Dalton Werner, Adam Jones and wife Emily and Jason Holley; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Macii Medley; one sister, Debra Lewis and husband Gary of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Shirley Ogden Holley.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Ron Gulley officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Johnny Suggs, William “Billy” Holley, Todd Fowler, Dempsey Sawyers, Jared Medley, Dalton Werner, Harold Sweitzer and Gary Lewis.
