Mina Evelyn Hinners, 93 of Metropolis, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Hinners sat with people and was a babysitter for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis and a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Logeman and husband Lowell and Marsha Wynne and husband Harold, all of Metropolis; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Louis and Amble Massie Beck; her husband, Loren Hinners; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Keipp and Logan Eickholz; six sisters; and five brothers.

A private family graveside service was held at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Louis W. Brinker officiating.

Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
