Randall Lampley, 59, of Metropolis, went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, Aug. 4, 2014, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Mr. Lampley was a U.S. Air Force veteran, stationed in Omaha, Nebraska and served overseas in Okinawa, Japan.

Randall retired from Electric Energy Inc. of Joppa and was a former treasurer of the Massac County Gun Club. He was a member of Metropolis First Baptist Church and loved his family dearly. Randall also enjoyed shooting traps, fishing and reading.

Randall is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula; one son, Jacob Lampley of Metropolis; his mother, June Lampley of Metropolis; one sister, Paula Peck and husband Dean of Shelbyville, Kentucky; and one niece, Sarah Blair and husband Klinton of Lexington, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell Lampley.

Funeral service was held Friday at Metropolis First Baptist Church with Rev. Louis W. Brinker and Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Metropolis First Baptist Church Playground Fund, 306 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, IL 62960; or to Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 226, Metropolis, IL 62960.

Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
