Within the annual report of Massac County Drug Awareness Coalition (MCDAC), there is a list of outreach and collaborations. Founder Natalie Quint told those gathered Aug. 5 at Metropolis City Hall council chambers for the second annual meeting that every time she looks at the list she is “blown away” by the outreach and awareness the organization has gotten.

MCDAC was formed after Quint talked to Massac County Sheriff Ted Holder about the growing concern regarding methamphetamine labs in the area. “I did some research on the Illinois attorney general’s website and learned that community coalitions were very effective,” she said.
