The annual Ohio River Sweep, which was scheduled for Saturday in Metropolis, Joppa and Brookport, has been postponed, according to Fort Massac State Park Site Superintendent Chris McGinness because of lack of a shoreline.

As of press time, no date has been scheduled for the River Sweep.

The Ohio River Sweep is sponsored by the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) and other environmental agencies from Pennsylvania to Illinois. ORSANCO is the water pollution control agency for the Ohio River.
