Joshua Stafford, superintendent of Vienna High School, recently announced the school has received three new school buses, purchased through the assistance of an EPA Clean Diesel Grant. Vienna was one of eight schools in Illinois awarded these funds. The new buses are air-conditioned and offer students WIFI and USB charging ports in the seats. The buses also have enhanced safety features, such as a stop arm camera systems. These systems are able to monitor traffic while they are making pickups and drop-offs. The district recognizes Kathy Anderson for pursuing grant funds in order for the school to purchase the buses, and Mark Racey for coordinating the purchasing and integration of the buses into school system.
