Today is David Brannum’s birthday. Friday, Cheryl Vanderford, April Schulte, Debbie Brannum and Otis Riepe will celebrate. Donna Souders, Richard George and Shelby Pryor are a year older Oct. 10. Ronnie Traversey has a birthday Oct. 13. Many happy returns to all of you.
Carla and Jerry Abell have a wedding anniversary today and Beth and Jeff Kelly have one Oct. 14. Best wishes to both couples and may you have many more.
It seems Interstate 24 has been having frequent accidents. That brings car traffic over the Brookport Bridge as a detour. Some semis think that means them, too, but they end up having to turn around. Whatever construction Kentucky is doing needs to wrap it up and drivers need to pay better attention.
I don’t remember having so many delays on I-24 before. Then again maybe Brookport is such a quiet town than any change in traffic is noticed.
