The Fort Massac Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently took lunch to 12 employees of the Massac County Highway Department to thank them for the work they do. The Daughters brought Bill’s Bar-B-Q, potato chips, cole slaw, pretzels and cookies. Diane Block, of the DAR, brought plates, forks, napkins and cups. Nancy Worthen-Vaughn brought a card of appreciation for the employees. County engineer Joe Matesevac accepted the tokens of appreciation from (from second left) Worthen-Vaughn, Regent Patricia Hertter, Janet Maggio, Kathy Reagor and Brenda Mizell.
