Hear Ye, Hear Ye -- A neighborhood reunion is planned next weekend for all the families, past and present, who grew up around the Tucker Lane neighborhood.

The party will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the area that used to be the home of Bub and Mary Jane Story. If you have any old pictures, please bring them, along with a side dish and a dessert. We are looking forward to a huge turnout. It is supposed to be a nice weekend, so come on out and enjoy the day.

Happy birthday wishes are sent to Beau Dodson, my awesome weatherman. You can always count on him for accurate information. Birthday wishes are also sent to my grandson, James Matthew, who will be 16 on Saturday. Time is just zipping on by.

I went to the funeral of Sue Stubblefield on Saturday. The funeral was at Hillerman Baptist Church, and it was full of family and many friends. It was good seeing so many that I haven't seen in long time, but always a sad way to meet. It seems like folks are too busy for reunions any more or too busy to have plain old-fashioned fish fries like we used to have.

We need to slow down some and enjoy each other while we have them. They can be taken away so quickly.

Hillerman lost a lovely, sweet and caring lady last week. She has been a resident of Hillerman for as long as I have known her, some 48 years or so.

Congratulations are sent to Joppa's Prom King and Queen, Mason Stewart and Brianne Troutt. Everyone looked so good all dressed up, and the venue looked awesome too with nice decorations.

Graduation is this week folks on Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m. for the high school and Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. for eighth grade. Wow, then we are another year done. I am not looking forward to those long hot days of summer for sure. Maybe this year won't be so bad.

I keep thinking I had something else to write about but can't for the life of me remember what it was, so I am going to close for now. Remember, let me know if you have news to share because I am always looking. I hope you have a great week folks.
