Massac County High School held its National Honor Society induction ceremony on April 5.

Twenty-eight members of the Class of 2022 and 37 members of the Class of 2023 were installed.

National Honor Society membership is granted to students who are selected by the faculty council.

Selection is based on requirements in the four areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students may not apply for membership.

Minimum requirements include: a 3.5 cumulative grade point average; meaningful participation in two or more school or community activities, or election to an office; meaningful participation in three or more service projects in the school or community; and measured in terms of attitude, integrity, behavior, ethics and cooperation with both students and faculty.

Members are liable for dismissal if they do not maintain the standards of scholarship, leadership, service and character through the high school term.
