The City of Metropolis Planning and Zoning Department issued a total of seven building permits during the month of March.

There were three for temporary residential electric service and one each for commercial demolition of a dwelling, residential demolition of a garage, a new freestanding sign and a new flushmount sign.

Permits were issued to:

• Ray Washington for temporary residential electric service at 1302 Catherine St.

• Niomi Meeker for temporary residential electric service at 1208 Ferry St.

• Drew Quint for commercial demolition of a dwelling at 1470 W. 10th St.

• Drew Quint for temporary residential electric service at 101 Oak Dr.

• T. Ham Sign, Inc., for a new freestanding sign and a new flushmount sign at 1551 E. Fifth St.

• Pat Bradford for the residential demolition of a garage at 712 Vienna St.
