The Feed My Lambs Ministry, operated out of Grace Church, is announcing the start of a new food pantry, which will be located at Grace Church, 818 W. 10th St., starting next Thursday, Jan. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Jim Davis, says because the Grace Church Food Pantry is not affiliated with the state or federal government, individuals will not have to fill out paperwork. He said the only thing they want to know is how many people are in the family.

"We feed the souls, but start in the stomach," said Davis, who said they will also have soup and sandwiches available during the time the food pantry is open.

"If anyone has a need, come out and get food," said Davis, who also said people are welcome to come eat and fellowship.

Davis would also like to issue a challenge to other local churches to donate $50 toward the food pantry at Grace Church.

According to Davis, the pantry will be open every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Anyone with questions may contact Davis at 618-309-2427 or his wife, Pat Davis at 618-309-2562.
