I’m hoping this Monday morning finds everyone doing well after our Mother’s Day weekend. It was a beautiful weekend with sunny skies, but a little on the cool side. I am so ready for it to warm up to the 70-80’s and stay there with no rain.
It has been great weather for our farmers. I have talked to a few who are way far ahead of planting this time last year, but let’s hope all the rain coming this week does flood some of the low fields.
I’m sending a big congratulations to all our graduates this week, whether you are a kindergartner, 8th grade, high school or college graduate. I was going to mention those from our area that had graduated, but was afraid I would leave someone out, unintentionally, so decided to wish everyone.
I know this has been a very unusual graduation for all of you, and most definitely one to go down in the history books, but just know that everyone is with you and wishing you all the best. You could always plan a big gathering when our social distancing ends. If our governor ever lets us.
I don’t know about you, but my Mom and I are needeing our hair trimmed.
Carol Crews has had surgery on her knee area this week, and is home taking it easy for awhile. Our thoughts and prayers are sent to her for a speedy recovery.
For those asking how I’ve been doing since my ‘accident’, I am doing great. I’ve been back to the doctor this week, got a few more stitches out, and he said I could return to my normal activities. He just doesn’t know what that involves for me. I’m going to have a big scar to remind me to be more careful, but thankful it wasn’t worse. Thanks to everyone for your calls, texts, Facebook messages and food provided.
Happy birthday wishes are sent this week to Jack Medley, Austin and Vivian Scott.
Wishing everyone a great week. We do have 80 degree temperatures later this week, but lots of rain in front of it.
