CADIZ — The Friends of Land Between the Lakes will host Outdoor Kids’ Weekend during Labor Day Weekend at the Woodlands Nature Station

The kid-friendly foray into some basic but important outdoor and camping skills will be held from 10 a.m until 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4-5, and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6.

Outdoor Kids’ Weekend shows kids and their families new ways to enjoy the outdoors from learning about the opossums to practicing fishing skills.

Admission is $7 for ages 18 and up, $5 for ages 5 to 17 and free for ages 4 and under.

Sunset Canoe Trips will be offered Saturday and Sunday The cost is $30 for each canoe and does not include daytime Nature Station admission. Registration is limited. Reservation and full deposit required. For more information or to make reservations, call 270-924-2020.

Woodlands Nature Station is located inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 3146 Silver Trail Rd. in Cadiz, Kentucky. The station closes at 5 p.m.

5-7:30 p.m. — Sunset Canoe Trip

1-3: p.m. — Make Your Own Track Book

2-4: p.m. — Raccoon Relays

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Woodland Walk & Wander Hike

4:30-4:50 p.m. — Parade of Raptors
