May 2
Metropolis Police were called to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 900 block of Ferry Street. Police said Joshua A. Duncan, 36, of Metropolis, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault. Police said Duncan was also charged with possession of cannabis. Duncan was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
May 3
Metropolis officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1700 block of Filmore Street. Police said Teresa S. Neimeyer, 32, of Metropolis, was arrested and charged with domestic battery. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
May 6
A Metropolis officer stopped a white Chevrolet on Fifth and 12th streets for speeding 65 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. Police said Kadarius J. Sasfrass, 25, of Cordova, Tennessee, was charged with driving while license suspended, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. He was released on bond.
May 7
A Metropolis officer stopped a silver Buick on U.S. 45 and 12th Street. Police said Richard L. Bann, 71, was charged with no valid driver’s license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration. Bann was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests were made on the basis of probable cause, and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
