The Metropolis K-9 officer stopped a black GMC truck for speeding on North Ave. and 18th Street. Police said a computer check on the driver, Kyle A. Warren, 40, of Murray, Kentucky. revealed his driver’s license was suspended. Warren could not provide proof of insurance, according to police. Warren was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of East Eighth Street. Michael H. Richards, 54, of Metropolis, was arrested and charged with violation of an order of protection, according to police. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

May 30

A Metropolis officer observed a male painting a bicycle in the alley near the 700 block of Catherine Street. The officer stopped to investigate. Police said a computer check revealed Kenneth L. Mitchell, 41, of Metropolis, was wanted on a warrant for a parole violation. Mitchell was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. A check on the serial number of the bike showed that it had not been reported stolen.

May 31

Kyle A. Littlemeyer, 30, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 2000 block of Old Marion Road. Police said Littlemeyer was wanted on a warrant issued by Paducah, Kentucky, on larceny (theft). He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

June 1

Christopher E. Walker, 45, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 400 block of West 12th Street. Police said Walker was wanted on a warrant issued by Massac County (criminal damage to property). He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

June 2

Westley A. McCoy, 30, of Metropolis, was arrested in the 1200 block of East Fifth Street. Police said officers had been looking for him for stealing an electric bike that was parked at Big John Grocery. This theft was captured on video, according to police. McCoy was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to an arrest made by the Metropolis Police Department. This arrest was made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

May 28

According to a report from the Marion Police Department, Ikie Lambert, 43, of Metropolis, was arrested on criminal trespass to property in the 2600 block of West Main Street in Marion on May 28.
