Metropolis officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of East Sixth Street. Police said Kevin D. Berling, 49, of Metropolis, was arrested on aggravated domestic violence involving strangulation. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Metropolis officers were called to the Community Center. The caller stated a female who was intoxicated was trying to enter the building. Police said that, upon arrival, officers found Wanda G. Martin, 51, of Joppa. Police said she was intoxicated and had a hard time walking. An ambulance was summoned to check on her. Police said that, once inside the ambulance, Martin became combative, striking an EMT in the groin and striking the other. Martin was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Once cleared from the hospital, she was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Reginald R. Thomas, 66, of Metropolis, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic battery. Thomas was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
A Metropolis officer on patrol observed James R. Beasley, 56, of Metropolis, walking on Vienna Street. Police said the officer was aware Beasley was wanted on a warrant issued by Massac County on two charges of ID theft. Beasley was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
