Good evening everybody on a beautiful, blessed, Lord's Day here in Reevesville. The Son sure is shining bright.
My neighbor, John Rust, would like to thank the anonymous good Samaritan that stopped by and got his lawnmower un-stuck.
John said he tried and tried to get it free to no avail. He then went in the house for just a minute, only to return and find that someone had gotten it loose, and went about their way. What a wonderful thing to do. Whoever you are . . . God bless you.
My cousin, Marlee Jo Lanham, had her baby this past week. They named him Dallas after his grandpa, and let me tell you, Dallas is just as happy as he can be. Congratulations to you all. He is perfect.
I want to make a very special Happy Birthday wish to my good friend and neighbor, Shelley Manley. Her Birthday is on June 7. May God continue to richly bless you Sister, as you are always a blessing to everyone.
My grandpa's Lee Roy's birthday is on June 6, and let me tell you, he is celebrating in style this year in heaven. We love you Pop. We will see you again soon.
The House of Prayer was so blessed this morning to have Evangelist Bro. Robert Fairless with us. He delivered an excellent message on witnessing, and we were very happy to be able to be together. Thank you Brother and may God continue to bless your journey.
This coming Sunday, June 9, The House of Prayer will be at Lake Glendale at 11 a.m. for a public Jesus name baptism. Come as you are and everyone is welcome. There will be food and fellowship to follow directly after at the Goose Bay pavilion. We can't wait to see you all. It's going to be awesome. There is no strings attached, just an opportunity for anyone who wants to be baptized, that hasn't had the chance.
What a blessing this first Sunday of June to get to once again be with my good friends at Hillview. I absolutely love those folks and honestly can't get enough of them. I look forward to seeing you all again real soon. Ms. Geraldine absolutely astounds me by her love and dedication to the Lord. It is an honor and a privilege to be her friend, as well as everyone else. Thank you all so much for your hospitality.
The Reevesville Cemetery has been blessed with some new signs, and they are really nice. Jay McClaskey did an amazing job. Thank you so much, sir.
Finally, I would like to announce an upcoming wedding in Reevesville.
I am pleased and ecstatic to let everyone know that Miss Haley Brooke Robison and I will be married on Saturday, June 15 here in Reevesville with a reception to follow at The House of Prayer.
I am a very lucky man, as she is the most wonderful, beautiful, caring and God-loving woman I've ever met. She is the daughter of Justin and Miranda Wolfe, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scheirbaum.
Rev. Billy Graham tells of a time early in his ministry when he arrived in a small town to preach a sermon.
Wanting to mail a letter, he asked a young boy where the post office was.
When the boy had told him, Dr. Graham thanked him and said, "If you'll come to the church this evening, you can hear me telling everyone how to get to Heaven."
"I don't think I'll be there," the boy said. "You don't even know your way to the post office."
Until next week . . see you in church.
