Shawnee Community College (SCC) will serve as a live stream site on Oct. 1 for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), Free Speech Discussion Panel.

The designation as a host site means SCC will be allowed to live stream the upcoming panel discussion examining how the First Amendment impacts the freedom of speech and expression.

The program, moderated by former WGN anchor Robert Jordan, "More Speech: A Conversation about the First Amendment," will feature the diverse perspectives of artists, journalists, historians, librarians, legal professionals and civic leaders.

"More Speech" is SAIC's third annual Citizen Artist Forum, a public dialogue that explores how art and design intersect with issues of civic concern.

Currently, the SCC location is scheduled as a viewing only site and does not include participation in the discussion panel.

Attendees will be able to view the discussion panel via the live stream on Tuesday from 6:15- 7:30 p.m. The SCC viewing location will be on the main campus located in Ullin in the L-Atrium.
