Wearing red

Wearing red
Massac Memorial Hospital dietary manager Helen Wetzig was among the MMH healthcare heroes to wear red on Friday to increase awareness for women’s heart issues. National Wear Red Day is observed on the first Friday of February every year to bring to attention the fact that heart disease is the most common cause of death among women and to raise awareness about women’s heart health. “I wear red to raise awareness for heart disease. Wearing red inspires me to make healthy lifestyle changes, and I am hopeful it encourages other to do the same,” Wetzig said.
