Amiee Lynn Davis, 32, of Metropolis, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. William Glore officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Albion.
Amiee was a CNA that worked for several years at Lourdes Hospital, then at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed playing sports during her school years, riding 4-wheelers and being outdoors. She was an outgoing and loving person with a bright spirit and will be deeply missed.
Amiee is survived by her mother, Tonya Davis; children, Miles Wayne Davis and Braxton Ronald Davis; sister, Sherrie Lynn Davis (Lucas Duke); brothers, Bobby Davis (Amanda), William Davis (Chrystal), Joe Downing Davis (Amanda) and family and Gavin Davis; grandpa, Eugene “Beechnut” Leonard; nieces and nephews, Gracelynn Davis, Robert Davis, Madison Davis, Jacob Davis, William Davis, and Elliott Davis; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wayne Davis; sister, Samantha Leeann Davis; and grandmother, Wanda Leonard.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
Pallbearers are Lil Bob Davis, Bobby Davis, Pete Elliott, Michael Leonard, James Leonard, Jeremiah Myrick, Adam Allen, Barney Allen and Joe Downing. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Davis and Gavin Davis.
Donations may be given in Amiee’s name to Guardian Family Services 117 W. 10th Street, Metropolis, IL 62960 to help protect against domestic violence. Condolences may be left for the family at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
