Fred Crosier, 83, of Metropolis, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis with Justin Wolfe officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Fred was of Baptist faith. He retired as a farrier after 47 years of shoeing. When Fred began his carrier as a farrier, they did not have ready-made horseshoes. Fred is survived by his daughters, Tammie Crosier and Kim Crosier (Larry Chasteen); two step-grandchildren, Jamie Moon and Leslie Kendrick; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Crosier; mother, Irene (Angelly) Dixon; and grandparents, John and Nellie Angelly and Toliver and Ruth Crosier.

Memorial contributions may be given in Fred’s name to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc., 290 Turnpike Road, Suite 5-315, Westborough, MA 01581.
