J.R. Hall, 78, of Metropolis, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Mr. Hall was a retired sign writer from Allied Chemical in Metropolis and was of the Baptist faith. He was a musician and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Vickie Hall of Metropolis; four children, Cathy Hall and Jennifer Bullock and husband Chad, all of Metropolis, Bob Hall of Golconda and Becky Pruett and husband John of Paris, Texas; nine grandchildren, Crysta Adamson, Travis Adamson and wife McCall, Mason Corzine, Connor Winnans, Ella Winnans, Ali Hall, Raelynn Hall, Drew Ann Pruett and Hannah Pruett; and two great-grandchildren, Casen Adamson and Jack Adamson.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Hall; one grandson, Jackson Pruett; his parents, James and Altie Hall; one brother, Howard Hall; three half brothers; and two half sisters.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mason Corzine, Travis Adamson, Connor Winnans, Ethan Hornback, Paul Hornback and Andy Pennington. Honorary pallbearers were Lee McBride and Glen Pennington.
