Kathleen Ruth Ulrich Hard, 92, of Paducah, died Monday, July 22, 2019 at her home.

Born on July 8, 1927 in Grand Chain, Mrs. Hard was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Paducah and was a former member of St. John's Homemakers Club.

Survivors include one son, Timothy Hard and wife Cathi of Paducah; two daughters, Gela Hard and husband Robert Wilson of Fancy Farm, Kentucky and Tammi Langston and husband Jim of Paducah; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Regina Isom and husband Bibs of Charleston; one sister-in-law, Mary Creson of Ovilla, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Paul Hard; one son, Rickie Lynn Hard; her parents, Otto Sylvester Ulrich and Pauline Cecile Kirschner Ulrich; and two brothers, Greg Ulrich and Charles Ulrich.

A funeral Mass was held Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce McCarty officiating. Burial followed at St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Grand Chain.

Memorials may be made to the Father Lew White Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Mary School System, 1243 Elmdale Rd., Paducah, KY 42003.

Milner and Orr Lone Oak Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
