Marsha Crannick


Marsha Harper Crannick, 71, of New Columbia, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home.

Born March 13, 1948 in Sullivan, Mrs. Crannick was a graduate of Sullivan High School.

Survivors include her husband, William Crannick of New Columbia; one daughter, Melissa McGhee and husband Michael of Johnston, Iowa; one son, Michael Marietta of St. Louis; five grandchildren; three sisters, Candy Gidcumb and husband Lance of North Carolina, Leisa Soer and husband Joe of Grafton and Cheryl Anderson and husband John of Victoria, Texas; one brother, Kerry Harper of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest "Buster" Harper; her mother, Mabel Farmer Harper; and one sister, Janice Harper Hanna.

Funeral service was held Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church in the New Columbia area with Frank Forthman Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
