Michael Dale Duncan, age 49, of Vienna, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2020, at 3:51 p.m. at his home.

Michael was born July 31, 1970 in Marion. He was the son of Thomas and Pat (Watson) Duncan.

Michael was united in marriage to Peggy Sue (nee Walker) in Johnson County Illinois. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Pat Duncan of Vienna; his stepchildren, Ashley ( fiancé Jacob Hall) Hornback of Metropolis and Matthew Hornback of Paducah, Kentucky; three step-grand

children, Aiden Hornback, Adrianna Hall and Axel Hall; and two brothers, Keith Duncan of Buncombe and Joseph Duncan of Vienna.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Duncan; his paternal grandparents, Orville and Lorene Duncan and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Blanche Watson.

Michael was a graduate of the semi-truck driving school at Shawnee Community College. He was employed as a general laborer by Southern FS in Paducah. He had previously worked as a laborer and truck driver for Lindell May Trucking and Endrizzi Contracting.

Michael was a member of the Faith Harvest Assembly of God Church in Vienna.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, July 3, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Independence Cemetery, 266 Clanahan Road, Golconda, IL 62938. Pastor Richard Swiney and Pastor Billy Thomas will officiate.

There will be no public visitation. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.
