Robert Jason Cross, 46, of Karnak, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Born Nov. 27, 1972 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Mr. Cross was a 1991 graduate of Century High School and graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in organizational communications.

He was the co-founder for Genesis Health Technologies. He had previously been the presidential director with Excel Telecommunications in Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include his father, Robert L. Cross of Karnak; one brother, Nathan Cross of Paducah; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gordon Cross; his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Evelyn Cross; and his maternal grandparents, John and Mildred Gordon.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial followed at St John's Cemetery near Dongola.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society.
