Rosemary Crosier Hertter Allbritten, 97, of Metropolis, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 29, 1922 in Metropolis, Rosemary was a member of Metropolis Church of Christ and attended Lone Oak Church of Christ. We will greatly miss this kind and gracious lady. Family always came first.

Rosemary is survived by her son, George Henry "G.H." Hertter Jr. and wife Patricia; one stepdaughter, Sue Kennedy and husband Paul; stepson, Odell Allbritten and wife Deirdre; her grandchildren, George Hertter III, Kevin Hertter, Julie Petrillo and husband Brett, Shanda Graffice and husband Eric, Jason Kennedy and wife Anita, Kyle Allbritten and wife Crystal, Vance Allbritten and wife Cindy, Jared Allbritten and Aaron Allbritten; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Toliver Douglas and Ruth Henley Crosier; her first husband, George Henry Hertter Sr.; her second spouse, Olen Allbritten; two sisters, Velma Wetherington and Ruth Helton; and four brothers, Troy, Blaine, Edwin and Charles Crosier.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Odell Allbritten officiating. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
