Tiffiney Ryan


Tiffiney Michelle Pickett Ryan, 45, of Ullin, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019 at 12:38 p.m. at her home.

Born April 19, 1974 in Nuremberg, Germany, the only child of Thomas and Lorita Dixon Pickett, Tiffiney and Richard "Rick" Ryan were married on June 29, 1996.

Tiffiney earned her master's degree in business administration from Murray State University. She had worked as vice president of financial and campus operations at Shawnee Community College, where she had been employed nearly 20 years until illness forced her into early retirement.

She loved to travel, especially family Disney cruises and Hot Rod trips to the beach. She could find interesting local eateries wherever the family traveled. Tiffiney also loved to travel to Vegas as well as attending plays and shows, locally and at the Fox Theater.

Tiffiney is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Ryan; two sons, Colin Thomas Ryan and Blake Richard Ryan; her parents, Tom and Lorita Pickett; her paternal grandfather, James B. Pickett; her in-laws, Bill and Betty Ryan; her sisters-in-law, Mary (Randy) Kessel and Vicki Allbritten (Matt Bremer); her nieces and nephews, Austin and Ryanne Kessel, Tristyn and Brooklyn Allbritten, Kellum and Tillie Bremer; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Lula Pickett; and her maternal grandparents, William and Catherine Dixon.

Funeral service was held Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with Steve Heisner and Rob Betts officiating. Interment followed at Cache Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
