Southern Seven Head Start Early Learning Center in Pope County held a Family Fun Night on Oct. 26. The evening included chili, hot dogs and a scavenger hunt. “The children and families had a wonderful time dressing for Halloween and spending time outdoors,” said Shawnna Rhine, Southern Seven’s community outreach coordinator. “The only thing they couldn’t find on their scavenger hunt was the moon because the moon was being stubborn and didn’t show up. So, Mrs. Megan had to find one on her phone and held it up for them to find. Now that’s using your imagination.” To learn more about Head Start, visit or call 618-634-2297.
