With some teams still making up games from the power outage night of March 25, the standings in the Thursday Night Mixed League are unsettled, but Sunset Images and Metropolis Big John still sit atop the heap.
Last Thursday, April 1, the men were led in scoring by Cody Shelton and Galen Shelton, who rolled 614 and 611 series, respectively. Vanita Corzine shot a 459 to lead the women, and Sheila Adams and Vicki Sweeney each rolled 435. Adams shot a nice 191 to anchor her series.
In Monday Night Men’s League play, the top two teams each swept their opponents and the “status remained quo” atop the standings.
Stewart’s Precision swept Sully’s Billiards, and Linwood swept the Elks, 7-0. Stewart’s leads Linwood by a mere four points. The men were led by Morgan Archer, who rolled the league’s only 600 series, with a 646. Mike Baker shot a nice 590, and Todd Faulkner shot 577.
In Tuesday A.M. Ladies play, things just got interesting as Sweeney’s Small Engine Repair dropped their series 4-0 to the Sassy Sixties.
The Queen Pins, meanwhile, crept to within 2½ games of Sweeney’s as they swept the Rosettes. Sweeney’s hold a 2½-game lead over the Queen Pins and a 7½-game lead over the Fab Three with just a couple of weeks left in their season.
The ladies were led in scoring by Debbie Hileman, who rolled a 486. Tonya Salyer shot a 477, and June Whelan rolled a 473.
