Laurie Glass’ Lady Patriots golfers are gearing up for their first outing of the year with qualifying rounds.

Tuesday was a special day for one of her competitors. Madie Coakley broke par Tuesday with a two under 69 that included an eagle on hole 14. She drove the ball onto the green on 14 and sank a 3-footer for the deuce.

Two holes later she outdid herself when her tee shot on the 130-yard par three sixteenth disappeared from her vantage point.

Coakley said she thought the shot had rolled over and off the back of the green so she had a wedge and her putter in hand as she hoofed it towards the back of the green.

As she walked by the hole, she looked down to find her ball in the bottom of the jar for a hole-in-one! Coakley used an eight iron for the shot.

If this is any indication of the type year the girls are going to have, look out.
