Lindquist to compete in MidStates All-Stars


Massac Junior High School eighth-grader LivAdiva Lindquist won the 100 Back Stroke Dec. 15, 2019 at the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center in Louisville, Ky.

The 14-year-old was seated fifth coming into the meet and ended up seated number one after the morning preliminaries. She swam a new personal season best time beating even all high school kids ages 15-18.

She also made the A Final in the 200 Back Stroke with a solid fourth place end result and a new personal season best time of 2:11.60 which she achieved once again in the preliminaries.

Lindquist has been picked to swim the 100 Back Stroke at the 2020 MidStates All-Stars Championship Meet in Indianapolis, Indiana Jan. 3-5, 2020.

This will be her largest meet yet. She will compete for the State of Kentucky, alongside the other chosen Kentucky State representatives against other midwest states like Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
