Mother Nature made it rough this past weekend for the 36 teams that played in the Linwood Motors four ball tournament.
Sweltering heat and formidable humidity were mitigated somewhat by a slight breeze, but it was still rough out there.
Jerry Throgmorton's team of C. Kline, J. Long and J. Alexander were hard to handle, taking the championship flight with a two-day total score of 111. The team shot 55 and 56 to win by four strokes over the team of Pickett/Gunterman.
Play was flighted after Saturday's round.
The "A" flight was won by the team of Sparks/Hamilton with a 119.
"B" Flight went to the Bass/Massey team with a 125, and "C" Flight was won by the Dutton/Pennington team with a score of 127.
