BETH SHELTON | The PlanetMassac County bowler Jase Stewart recently inked a letter of intent to attend Southeastern Illinois College and bowl for the Falcons and coach Doug Cottom.
Stewart is the son of Richard and Shelly Stewart.
While only having a couple of years of experience under his belt thanks to COVID and injuries getting in the way, Stewart compiled a respectable 170 average and set personal records in both single game and series this year.
Stewart said this year was really fun as the Patriots cracked the 1,000 pin mark more than once (five bowlers x 200 average) and were a lot more competitive as a team.
“We had some ups and downs, but we pulled together and really got along,” he said. “By the end of the year we were pretty good.”
Stewart said he wants to pursue a career in nursing after college. Good luck, young man.
