Sully’s Billiards team qualifies for world championship
Sully’s Billiards of Metropolis has qualified for the APA World 8 Ball Championship to be held Oct. 21-26 at the Westgate Casino in Las Vegas. Following their successful league season, played at Sully’s on Fifth Street in Metropolis, the team played through a 12-team, three-session tournament format at River City Eagles Club in Paducah to advance to Vegas. The World Championship 8 Ball Tournament is a team event open to any combination of men and women. It offers a $25,000 first-place prize. It follows a modified single elimination format which allows each team the chance to lose twice before being eliminated.
